The proposal for each event is to set up a history display at Pettman House, with lots of photos, documents and information about the town and the main landmarks in Herne Bay for people to view and ask any questions.
Each group of attendees will also be given a free booklet which will take them on a self guided walk around part of Herne Bay with photographs and information about each of the landmarks on the tour. The booklets will be theirs to take away, so they can do the tour during the morning and ask any questions to the hbhrs team at Pettman House on their return, or do the walk at their leisure if preferred. The aim is for the walking tour to last around 45 to 60 minutes.
In addition, there will be an I spy quiz trail for younger explorers to follow the same route, but find answers to questions and clues along the way. This would also be a free handout to fill in answers as they go around the trail.
