We are so proud of yesterdays Herne Bay Pride 2023 event & it shows how important Pride is to us all. It’s a small local event, however it’s starting to attract attendees from across Kent. Our core volunteer team works tirelessly throughout the year with lots of support from non-profit businesses, variety of businesses, other community groups & youth groups, & many more, spreading our message & making a difference in the heart of our society. A huge thank you to you all, whether you an allies or you have made a financial donation or sponsorship, or simply shared posts relating to this event. A massive thank you to everyone who has supported us through attending Herne Bay Pride, sharing our content, & spreading our message of equality, kindness, respect. Acceptance & understanding. THANK YOU FOR THE BEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR 🎺 🎵 🎙️ ❤️ I just wanted to say thank you to kaihoffmanjazz and every volunteer involved for creating such a special weekend for us every year, but especially this year. We could have been anywhere in the world but we were lucky enough to have such a spectacle brought to our little town. All the fun and no commute. The quality of the acts was superb, this event really does bring a richness to us and I’m so grateful. EVER SO TIRED I’ve always taken on a lot, like the time when I worked full time and did full time acting training, or like when I worked full time and did a month long run of shows every night or like when I worked full time in london and Little Pep in Herne Bay on the weekends or like that time I started a new business and a masters at the same time. But just for the record, I’m pretty tired. I don’t have the stamina that I used to due to health issues and work a lot harder on looking after myself these days and occasionally try to ask for help or say no. But the last few weeks have been A LOT. What I’m asking for now is to help with the reward bit, which is the bit that spurs me on and makes it worth it. My last Sunday Story Live is this Sunday and I’d really love you to come along, enjoy a glass of wine and the show. Or to come to the plays next week. Much blood sweat and tears have gone into them and I’d really love them to be seen and enjoyed. Links to everything in my bio or message me for details. And a share or comment would go a long way. HERE IT IS! We are SO proud of our 2021 Lineup for August 20/21/22, 2021. BIGGEST LINE UP EVER FOR HERNE BAY JAZZ AND SWING FESTIVAL! Taking place in venues across the town including The King’s Hall, The Pier and The Herne Bay Museum, the programme presents many FREE and affordable events for all ages to enjoy from jazz aficionados to fans of great live music. All details are also available on our website www.hernebayjazzfestival.com. Strictly Come Dancing superstar Tommy Blaize with support from Ronnie Scott’s regular Kai Hoffman appears on Friday August 20th (Tickets via www.thekingshall.com). Award-winning singer and presenter Ian Shaw singing his ‘When Bowie met Joni’ show on Saturday August 21st, alongside big band diva extraordinaire Louise Cookman with the Pe- ter Long Orchestra (Tickets via www.thekingshall.com). We also have many performers featured for FREE at Herne Bay Pier Stage including guitarist John Etheridge, and a series of FREE outdoor concerts at the King’s Hall roof terrace stage will include EFG London Jazz Festival regular Juliet Kelly presenting her fantastic Family Show. A month-long Jazz in Herne Bay Art & History exhibition at the Seaside Museum, will be open from August 14- September 12, as well as free viewings of jazz-music-related films at the King’s Hall. All proceeds from the three ticketed King’s Hall events will go towards supporting future festivals and community outreach projects. All other events are completely free to attend thanks to support from Canterbury City Council, Beach Creative Arts Centre, the Herne Bay Festival Charity, Jubilee Books, Goody Ales and private sponsors.
