Herne Bay Festival
21st July to 25th August 2024

Undersea Ball is a magical musical week of fun activities which includes arts and crafts, games, singing songs, percussion and raising environmental awareness in an age appropriate way. Participants will work towards performing in a colourful concert featuring fun, ocean related songs on the final day of each week on a set that they will have constructed throughout the week. The set will be an undersea grotto filled with hand-crafted sealife, colourful lighting, education about pollution of the sea, the importance of recycling and it will play host to a fun sing-along set of songs with a nautical theme. Participants will be encouraged to wear thematic costumes and it will be completely age appropriate, totally family friendly and free to participate. Each week will be a four day course. It is aimed at 5-8 year-olds and is completely inclusive. We welcome children with additional needs and from all backgrounds, including people who are trying to settle into life in a new country/culture. We want to show people that Herne Bay is a welcoming town full of diversity and character. We will provide packed lunches each day for all participants and this will give us the opportunity to discuss food production, healthy eating and a balanced diet. It is an holistic approach to learning through fun activities which will enrich the holiday experience of all who attend.
