Travel back in time to learn about the different human species and mega beasts that have lived in the Herne Bay area over the last million years.
Handle real tools made by our prehistoric ancestors, and experiment using replicas
Find out more from researcher Pete Knowles, about how the museum’s collection is contributing to the understanding of the early human occupation of our corner of north west Europe.

 

This August, admission to the Seaside Museum in Herne Bay will be FREE thanks to funding from Herne Bay Festival

In July and August the Museum is open from 11am to 4pm  Tuesday through Saturday
