The workshop will be aimed at families, but anyone over the age of 8 will be able to attend. Each attendee will create a mixed media canvas, using assorted media. Attendees will be able to take their art home with them, however, there is also the possibility of each attendees artwork being exhibited at The Sarah Baulch Gallery in a special exhibition (this is to be confirmed).
Art has been proven to be very good for mental health at all ages. Art helps to takes ones mind away from stresses and problems of day to day life both in children as well as adults, just 20 mins of art a day will have a positive impact on how a person feels.
We all pick up crayons at an early age often before we can do anything else. As we become older we lose the ability to play. This four hour workshop will enable all attendees both young and the old to give their minds a creative boost. Each attendee will have the opportunity to create their own mixed media canvas. The workshop will be provided free of charge, although each attendee will be requested to provide a small booking fee to discourage no shows, this is likely to be £5. This booking fee will then be returned to the entrant.
