Amy Johnson and Herne Bay Seafront Tour
In 2016 a stunning life size, life like bronze statue of Amy Johnson, record breaking pilot of the 1930s, was installed on the Herne Bay seafront. Do you know why? If you’d like to find out the full story behind the bronze, the information board and the biplane bench, then join founder and Director of the Amy Johnson Project Jane Delamaine for a fascinating seafront tour, diving deep into Amy’s life, her tragic death and the continuing work to remember this icon of aviation and celebrate her enduring legacy.
Tours will be approximately 1 hour and pay what you feel it is worth! Cash on the day please. The route is accessible for all starting at the foot of the pier and ending at the bronze statue. If you would like to join Jane, please email her on [email protected] to register your interest.
