Herne Bay Festival
21st July to 25th August 2024

This is the tenth Herne Bay Cartoon Festival and we are also celebrating the tenth anniversary of our Marcel Duchamp in Herne Bay Festival held in 2013. This year’s festival will take place at Beach Creative with two days of workshops, live cartooning, caricaturing, exhibitions, talks and activities for families. This year we will have exhibitions again at Beach Creative and the Seaside Museum (in collaboration with the British Cartoon Archive and the University of Kent) and our annual Cartooning Live! event at Beach Creative over two days (previously only one). We will have free cartooning and caricature workshops where professional artists demonstrate and teach participants of all ages. There will also be talks and other events. The festival is delivered each year by professional artists and a team of volunteers who give their services free. Our objectives are to promote and introduce cartooning art to the public in an entertaining way. Our exhibitions and events are free and accessible to all.
