Cartoon Festival – History of the Caricature @ Beach Creative
Aug 4 @ 1:30 pm

Heads of Clay! (But no feet)
This year, the cartoon festival is delighted to host two workshops by the very fabulous caricaturist, Roger Todd. On Sat Aug 4th @ 1.30pm @ Beach Creative, Roger will take us through the history of sculpted caricatures from Dantan and Daumier in the 1840s to France’s Les Guignols de l’Info, Russia’s Kukly, and South Africa’s online spoof show. ZA News. Ending with a lump of wet clay, so each participant can fashion their very own sculpted caricature. There are still a few places left, so if you fancy getting mucky with Roger, email sue.austen@btinternet.com
