Help to create the UK’s largest painting on the astro turf of Herne Bay Hockey Club. Artist led workshops will help all age groups make a giant painting celebrating Herne Bay’s amazing DAWN HORSE. Front man Ben Russell, is on a musical mission to spread positive vibes across the UK after moving from his native land Australia. Since forming in 2010, BRC has become Kent’s most high-profile reggae band, performing hundreds of gigs and festivals throughout the UK, steadily gathering a loyal following.
In 2013 and 2015, BEN RUSSELL AND THE CHARMERS supported New Zealand reggae band Katchafire, marking an important step in their career. As well as sharing a stage with internationally renowned artists such as By The Rivers (UK), The Banyans (FR), The Dualers (UK) to name a few…

Rounding off what promises to be over a week of fantastic live music Herne Bay Rocks is proud to present this year’s main stage finale event featuring live entertainment from 12noon until 9.30pm.
The music on offer will be a great mix of up and coming local bands and dance performances from local dance groups, and featuring both the acoustic and full band winners of the Herne Bay Rocks competition which takes place throughout the weeks leading up to the main stage event. We are also proud to present this year’s headline act ‘Hussy’, without a doubt one of the UK’s finest contemporary cover bands, with a wealth of experience having performed at places such as the Millennium Stadium to the Formula 1 Bahrain, and featuring musicians that have collaborated with several major artists. They will be storming through a set of your favourite festival anthems from 8pm before the night is closed with a spectacular fireworks display over the sea!
